These terms govern your use of this website, which is maintained by VERMANCO, Advocates & Legal Consultants. By using the website, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website.

Purpose of the website

The website provides information about the firm and general information about the law, in keeping with the Bar Council of India Rules. It is not an advertisement or solicitation, and nothing on it is legal advice. Please read our Disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.

No advocate–client relationship

Using the website, or submitting a form through it, does not create an advocate–client relationship. The firm acts for a client only after confirming that it is free to do so and agreeing the scope of work and fees in writing.

Forms and submissions

When you use the contact, consultation or research forms, you agree that:

  • the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
  • you are entitled to share any documents and information you submit, including information about other people;
  • you will not upload unlawful, infringing or harmful material, or files containing malicious code; and
  • the firm may decline any request at its discretion, including where a conflict of interest exists.

Judgment research

Submitting a research request does not oblige the firm to undertake it. Research begins only after the firm has reviewed the submission and confirmed the scope, the expected timeline and the fee, and you have agreed to them. A research note identifies and explains relevant authorities; it is not a legal opinion, does not advise on strategy and does not predict the outcome of any matter. How a court applies a precedent depends on the facts before it and on the law at the time.

Intellectual property

The content of this website, including its text, design, the VERMANCO name and logo, and other brand elements, belongs to VERMANCO unless stated otherwise. You may view, download and print pages for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, adapt, distribute or commercially exploit any part of the website without the firm's prior written permission. Statutory texts linked from the website are published by the Government of India or the relevant state government on official portals.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the website in any way that is unlawful, including under the Information Technology Act, 2000; not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or the systems behind it; not to interfere with its operation or security; and not to collect content or data from it by automated means in a way that burdens the website.

Links to external websites, including official statute portals, are provided for convenience. The firm is not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

No warranty; limitation of liability

The website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we take care to keep it accurate and available, we do not warrant that it is complete, current, error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, VERMANCO and its advocates are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the website, or from reliance on any material on it.

Privacy

Personal data collected through the website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with the website or these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated, and continued use of the website after a revision constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
